The Albuquerque BioPark is seeking an enthusiastic Training Specialist to help inspire and support the growth of our animal care professionals. As part of the Animal Wellness Department, this role manages the Animal Care Excellence Program, working closely with animal care staff and animal department leaders to foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and animal wellbeing. The Training Specialist identifies and develops engaging educational opportunities, supports staff throughout their professional development journeys, and helps ensure training and promotional requirements are completed in a timely manner. This position is ideal for someone who would enjoy celebrating growth and helping people build the knowledge and skills that contribute to excellence in animal care. Plan, coordinate and implement all in-house training activities for department personnel; conduct research into specialized training classes and evaluate current training programs and perform a variety of professional and technical tasks in support of assigned area of responsibility.
