Gillooly Lab, Department of Biology, University of Florida · Florida · assistantship · posted today
The Gillooly Lab in the Department of Biology at the University of Florida has openings for 1-2 graduate students beginning in Fall 2027. Research in the lab is diverse but generally falls under the category of macroecology or physiological ecology. Lab members use a variety of approaches, including mathematical modeling, experimentation and field studies. We share an interest in uncovering and explaining broad-scale patterns in organismal biology that can be used to better understand populations, communities and ecosystems. Above all, we seek students that are creative, curious, and collaborative. Prospective students should contact Dr. Gillooly by email (gillooly “at” ufl.edu) to discuss possibilities. The deadline for application is December 1, 2026. More information regarding the program and the application is found here: https://biology.ufl.edu/graduate-programs/ , https://biology.ufl.edu/graduate-programs/application/
