Position/Title: 00100290, Fisheries Tech 2 Agency/Location: Georgia Wildlife Resources Division, McDuffie PFA/Hatchery (McDuffie County) Responsibilities: Under general supervision, this positions will assist in the operation and maintenance of the McDuffie Public Fishing Area and Warmwater Fish Hatchery. This positions performs duties in support of all fish management and culture operations at this large warm water fisheries facility; assist in all phases of fish culture, recreational fisheries management, and supporting operations including the operation and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds. Seasonal work demands may include nights, weekends, holidays and assisting with Department’s emergency response efforts. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree or completion of equivalent coursework (90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours) in fisheries management or a related field from an accredited college or university OR High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience required in the Wildlife Resources Division as a Fisheries Tech 1 (NRT060) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: 1) Warm water fish culture experience 2) Warm water fisheries management experience 3) DNR/WRD employment experience
