TA Supported MS Positions Available for Fall 2026 in Avian Behavioral Ecology or Related Projects. ****Available Position***** The Perez Lab at the University of South Alabama is looking to recruit 1 to 2 Master's students for a fall 2027 start date. We are primarily looking for someone to take over our Eastern Bluebird project. Historically our nest box trail has supported research on a variety of projects related to threat recognition and response as well as collecting annual reproductive success data. While there is a strong preference for continued work on threat recognition and response through behavioral trials, there is broad scope for a student to design and shape independently driven research questions using the system provided they fit within the PI's expertise to supervise. Possible topic areas include reproductive endocrinology, stress physiology, animal behavior, reproductive trade-offs, and reproductive ecology broadly. ****Desired qualifications***** Bachelors in Biology or related field Ability to work outdoors in hot conditions Prior experience working with birds is a plus, but not required. ****Support**** This position will be supported for 2 years via a departmental TAship that provides a stipend and tuition coverage for up to 10 credit hours per semester.
