Responsibilities: * Teach introductory, upper-level undergraduate, and graduate courses as needed based on departmental needs and applicants’ expertise. * Teach online courses based on departmental needs and applicants’ expertise. * Direct undergraduate and graduate research. * Serve on departmental and university committees. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Chairperson and Dean. * Fulfill other duties expected of a faculty member, such as student advising, departmental recruitment and retention activities, public service, etc. Qualifications Required: * Ph.D. in Biology, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Wildlife Science, or a related field (ABD candidates may be considered). * Commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. * Ability to direct undergraduate and graduate research. * Potential and dedication to attract extramural funding. * Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students from varied socioeconomic/ethnic backgrounds. Desired: * Postdoctoral experience in modern and emerging technologies. * Recent research publications. * Successful teaching in a small student-centered regional university setting. * Successful experience in directing undergraduate and graduate research. * Successful experience in obtaining extramural funding. * Demonstrated ability to secure external funding through grant writing. * Successful experience in advising students. * Experience with online courses. * A commitment to participate in recruiting students to our programs.
